What? Caricatures?

Yes! I'm a full-time VFX Artist working in the video games industry, but I also have roots in Caricature Art too!

In fact, it was one of the first jobs I had in the entertainment industry, and to me, it's all related. I love entertaining and making people happy, and that's what Caricatures are all about. It's a performance to make folks laugh as we all share in fun experience. 


Below is a mixed collection of past work I've done. Some drawn from life at events, parties, and others from photographs. 

Live portraits for events is fast-paced, ranging from 3 minutes at the quickest, to 8 minutes at the longest. Couples or groups add a bit of complexity, and may require an extra minute or 2 to complete. All in all, when I'm working events or parties I aim for 8 to 15 portraits in an hour.

Mediums:


I work in both physical and digital mediums.

 

  • Physical Caricatures are great keepsakes and a treasured memento of for any occasion! For these I work primarily with either sharpie markers, or charcoal, on 11" x 14 cover stock.


  • Digital Caricatures offer a 21st century angle on the art, are easily shared and uploaded, and unlike their physical counterparts are WATERPROOF ha!
